Ulu Hye unveils plant-based Barista Mylk base

Queensland-based plant milk startup Ulu Hye has unveiled a Barista Mylk Base from almonds, that provides frothed alt-milk for household consumers.

“People love our Mylk Bases but wanted a barista option that would stretch and froth well in their coffee and be added to tea without splitting,” said Heidi Peuten, co-founder at Ulu Hye.

“Not only is it easy and convenient to make, but it also has clean and minimal ingredients, and most importantly, rescues up to six cartons from entering landfill.”

The brand’s plant-based barista milk base is natural and free from plastics and can be made by adding water to the base and blending. It is gluten, sugar and soy-free and free from additives, preservatives and emulsifiers.

The Barista Mylk Base Almond in mini retails for $14 per jar while the original retails for $22. In May last year, the duo launched a mini Mylk Base jar range across select Woolworths stores nationally.
