UK-based ice cream brand Little Moons has added a new flavour, Golden Blond Chocolate, to its mochi range.

The new flavour is described as a combination of white chocolate and caramelised sugar, blended with smooth gelato, and chocolate pieces, all wrapped in a sweet sticky rice dough.

In addition, the ice cream is free of gluten, artificial flavourings, colourings, and preservatives.

To celebrate the launch, the company recently opened “The Little Shop”, a fully functional ice cream parlour – no bigger than a suitcase – crafted by miniature sculptor Joshua Smith.

Customers can sample the new flavour for free in the new shop, located on Kensington Street, from May 19-21 between 11:30 am and 9 pm.

Golden Blond Chocolate will sit alongside three of the brand’s most popular flavours, Vegan Belgian Chocolate & Hazelnut, Vegan Tropical Passionfruit and Mango and Honey Roasted Pistachio, which will also be available for sampling at the Little Shop.

Little Moons co-founder Vivian Wong said the “overwhelming success” of the brand’s debut in the country last year, it has now become a key market for the company.

“We’ve loved seeing Aussies getting a perfect little lift from our mochi bites and can’t wait to expand our flavour offering even more later this year,” concluded Wong.

Golden Blond Chocolate is available at Woolworths, with an RRP of $10 per pack of six.
