Nestle’s CFO and executive VP, Francois-Xavier Roger, has stepped down after eight years with the company to pursue new professional challenges.

Mark Schneider, CEO of Nestle, said Roger helped steer the company during a turbulent macroeconomic environment during the past three years and implemented its value creation strategy.

“On behalf of our board of directors and our executive board, I would like to offer our sincere thanks to Francois. We wish him all the best in his next endeavours.”

Roger said he is proud to have been part of Nestle’s “remarkable value-creation journey”.

“I have had the pleasure to lead a highly professional finance team, and I feel this is the appropriate time to hand over my responsibilities.”

He will be replaced by Anna Manz who is the current CFO and member of the board of the London Stock Exchange. She will take on the role when she is released from her present duties.

She was also the former executive director at speciality chemicals and sustainable technologies company Johnson Matthey leading its strategy, finance, procurement and IT functions.

To ensure a smooth transition, Roger will remain in his role until his successor arrives.
