Melbourne-based Isaac’s Snacks rolls out in Woolworths

Melbourne-based Isaac Snack's debuts in Woolworths

Isaac’s Snacks, a Melbourne-based children’s snack brand, has partnered with Woolworths to sell its Jammy Date Bites and Fruity Cutie Bites in stores nationwide.

The snacks are made from wholesome ingredients like dates, apricots, figs, cinnamon, coconut, and oats. Moreover, they do not contain refined sugar, dairy, or fillers.

Founder Laura Allan says she created the range in response to the alarming amount of sugar, chemicals, and “mystery fillers” found in children’s snacks.

“I just felt that a lot of the things in the supermarkets, and also the health food stores, were loaded with sugar – some bars marketed as healthy have up to 50 per cent sugar,” she explained.

“One thing in particular that I found confusing, and still find confusing today, is the very long ingredient lists, including all sorts of additives and emulsifiers, and ingredients labelled with mysterious numbers.”

Allan said it had been a long-held career dream to sell through Woolworths, which shares her commitment to healthy foods.

“Definitely, as a retailer, Woolworths is aligned with Isaac’s Snacks’ values, and along with everything they’re doing around sustainability and supporting Australian brands, it’s fantastic,” she said.

The snacks’ packaging also includes simple ingredient listings, which aim to ensure parents are well-informed about what they are feeding their children.

“We are really helping that modern mum who wants to make great choices,” Allan concluded.

Isaac’s Snacks are available for an RRP of $7.99 per pack at Woolworths stores nationwide.
