Dove has teamed up with Australian footballer Ellie Carpenter to launch a limited-edition product range supporting its Dove Body Confidence Sports Program, an initiative aimed at helping more young people stay involved in sports.
Together with the Butterfly Foundation, the program provides coaches with resources designed to create more inclusive sporting environments and build body confidence.
“Sport should be a place where every young person, in every body, feels accepted, supported and free to participate without fear of judgement,” said Danni Rowlands, director of education initiatives at Butterfly Foundation.
“We know that positive sporting environments can play a powerful role in building confidence, connection, and wellbeing.”
The limited-edition range includes Dove Advanced Care Rejuvenating Body Wash and Dove 72hr Advanced Care Pomegranate Antiperspirant Deodorant, which feature Carpenter on-pack.
“I’m proud to team up with Dove for a cause close to my heart, keeping girls in sport,” Carpenter said. “Too many girls drop out because of body criticism, but sport should be about confidence, joy, and belonging.”
“Body confidence, to me, is feeling comfortable and proud of what your body can do, not how it looks, and it starts with making sure coaches have the right skills and knowledge. Through the Body Confidence Athlete Kit, we can help train coaches to positively influence more young lives and create environments where kids feel confident being themselves.”
The Dove x Ellie Carpenter range is available at Coles stores nationwide.
