Made with Plants is now offering its plant-based alt-meat and alt-dairy range in more than 500 Coles stores nationwide.
The supermarket has committed to expanding its vegan and vegetarian range in response to what it sees as a growing demand for alternative protein sources.
“We’ve seen a rise in the ‘flexitarian’ space and people seeking alternative protein sources,” said Coles.
The new products include Grated Mozzarella (200g) made with sunflower and coconut oils, Meat-Free Bacon (200g) from textured soy protein, Deli-Style Ham (100g), and Meet-Free Chicken (300g) made from wheat gluten, known as “seitan.”
Cale Drouin, the co-founder of Made With Plants, added that it has never been easier for Australian consumers to choose cruelty-free food.
“Whether you’re a flexitarian, vegetarian, vegan, or simply looking to try new, tasty plant-based options, Made With Plants is proud to offer delicious alternatives that stack up against conventional meat and dairy,” Drouin concluded.
Made with Plants products have been available in Woolworths since 2019.
