Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) plans to invest an additional $105.5 million in a new Warmfill Line at the Moorabbin plant in Victoria.
The Warmfill Line – regarded as its single-largest investment in the market – is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026 and will be capable of producing up to 17.8 million cases of beverages annually.
The development features a 4200sqm manufacturing hall, a high-speed 640-bottle-per-minute Nitro-Warmfill line and upgrades to water treatment, electrical systems, compressed air, nitrogen dosing, heating & cooling systems, and a syrup room for Warmfill product manufacturing.
According to Orlando Rodriguez, MD of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Australia, the investment marks an important milestone for CCEP as the company prepares for rapid growth, notably in the sports beverage category.
“Investing in the sports category is central to our overarching growth ambitions and reflects our strong belief in this sector, as highlighted by our support of community and sporting organisations, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, and recently being named the Official Sports Hydration Partner of the Hungry Jacks National Basketball League and Cygnett Women’s National Basketball League,” he continued.
The new line is estimated to cut inter-business transportation of Warmfill Line products and raw materials by 2.9 million kilometres per year, saving approximately 3785 tonnes of CO2.
