Swedish oat milk brand Oatly debuts in New Zealand

Swedish oat milk brand Oatly has launched in New Zealand through its partnership with FMCG brand specialist Acorn.

The latter will be the sole sales agent and distributor for Oatly’s in New Zealand supermarkets, with the Barista range being the first to hit the shelves.

Marc O’Sullivan, country manager, Oatly ANZ, said the brand’s vision is to make it easier for people to swap in plant-based dairy in their diets.

“Working with fantastic partners, such as Acorn Group, who believe in our mission and can work with us to share our products with as many people as possible,” said O’Sullivan.

Oatly, which was founded 30 years ago, is now distributed in more than 20 countries worldwide.

In June, oat milk brand Otis transferred production from Sweden to New Zealand in collaboration with local beverage maker Free Flow.
