Coast of Gold has launched its new shito pepper sauce range in NSW, the ACT, Victoria, and Queensland.
The West African sauce is made with slowly cooked hot peppers, herbs, spices and seafood. It can be paired with a variety of dishes such as rice, grilled meats, vegetables and even snacks.
The sauce is manufactured in Australia and comes in three variants: Sweet Smoky Spicy Hot, Sweet Smoky Spicy Medium, and 100 per cent Plant-based Mild.
“We’ve crafted this sauce using traditional methods and premium-quality, ethically sourced ingredients to capture the essence of West African cuisine,” said Genevieve Muir, Coast of Gold co-founder.
“My first proper venture into the Australian condiments market hasn’t been without its challenges and plenty of hard work, but it’s also proof of the power of real passion when establishing a food brand.”
The range received a Gold Star at the 2024 Guild of Fine Food Awards in the UK.
