Australian startup Zero Co is showcasing a commitment to sustainability by introducing a new paper-based refill system to all of its products.
The ForeverFill technology, which took two years to complete, eliminates the need for customers to return empty pouches and reduces single-use plastic waste in landfills.
According to the company, the new technique uses 97 per cent less plastic than other brands and reduces freight emissions by 75 per cent.
Zero Co has additionally unveiled the New Forever Bottles, which are created from 90 per cent recycled materials, designed to work smoothly with paper refills, and available in three colourways. They also come with a lifetime guarantee.
The business is operating a replacement program for its prior product line, and the new Forever Bottles can be filled with paper-based refills, dissolvable tablets and powders.
“With ForeverFill, we’re setting a new standard in sustainability, pushing boundaries to create solutions that truly impact our planet,” said CEO and founder Mike Smith of Zero Co.
“This complete reimagining of our personal and home care range helps people reduce waste at home while funding ocean cleanups. It’s not just an improvement – it’s a revolution in how we address the plastic problem”.
Since 2020, Zero Co has removed more than 45 million water bottle waste from seas, rivers, and beaches, and the refill system was created when the team realised “there had to be a better way to tackle the problem of single-use plastic”.
