FamilyMart expands distribution of its Convenience Wear clothing line

Family Mart Convenience Wear including socks, towels, and shirts in ziplocked packaging

Japanese convenience store giant FamilyMart has launched its Convenience Wear clothing line – popular in its home market – into Taiwan as it tests the concept for offshore markets.

The collection features a variety of clothing, including mid-calf socks, short socks, handkerchiefs, T-shirts, hooded tops, casual trousers, and thermal wear.

Among the products in this line are the Kimura Socks, designed with a thick-soled knitted material that provides arch support and is treated for antibacterial and anti-odour properties.

These socks are available in mid-calf, short, and ankle styles, all incorporating FamilyMart’s signature blue and green brand colours.

The collection also features Imabari handkerchiefs, known for their water absorption and quick-drying properties. Certified by Japan’s Imabari Towel standards, these handkerchiefs are available in four designs.

Additionally, the company’s Reheat thermal wear series includes quick-drying and antibacterial underwear, offering elasticity and ease of movement for layering during winter. Other apparel includes casual hooded tops and trousers.

“The concept [Convenience Wear] breaks the past imagination that clothing and fabrics in convenience stores are just “temporary emergency supplies,” said the company.
