Woolworths and Big W have teamed with Minecraft to launch a new physical collectible, Minecraft CubeezTM, for Australian customers later this month.

Each set includes one buildable cardboard block and 40 Cubeez to collect. The Cubeez are made from FSC-certified recycled paper and are 100 per cent kerbside recyclable in Australia.

Customers will be able to get a free Minecraft CubeezTM for every $30 spent in a single qualified transaction in-store or online at Woolworths Supermarkets in Australia and New Zealand, Big W, Milkrun, and select Woolworths Metro shops.

“Minecraft CubeezTM has been designed in a fun and interactive way for families to unleash their creativity,” said chief marketing officer for Woolworths Group, Andrew Hicks.

“Blending digital inspiration and interactive play, the program promises to deliver an opportunity for avid Minecraft players and new fans alike to build their own Minecraft adventures, block by block in real life.”

A special collector case will be available for $10 in-store and online at Woolworths Supermarkets, Metro, and Big W.

Earlier this month, Woolworths filed with New Zealand’s competition regulator, the Commerce Commission, for clearance to take over the New Zealand arm of small goods and ready-meals supplier Beak & Johnston.
