Golden Gaytime has launched a biscuit-based version of its ice cream, coinciding with the Oxford English Dictionary’s latest update, which added 11 Australian slang terms, including “slab”.
The Golden Gaytime Slab features layers of toffee and vanilla ice cream, sandwiched between two vanilla biscuits.
“There’s nothing more Aussie than a slab, and now you can enjoy one solo, in the sun, or straight from the servo,” said Helen Zhang, brand manager at Golden Gaytime ANZ. “It’s big, bold, and unmistakably Gaytime.”
Established in 1959, Golden Gaytime has released various limited-edition flavours and brand collaborations over the years, including Devil’s Food, Pina Colada, and the Golden Gaynetto.
Golden Gaytime Slab is available for an RRP of $5.40 at servos and convenience stores nationwide.
