Streets ice cream brand Bubble O’Bill has teamed up with Budgy Smuggler to launch a family-focused swimwear collection.
The new range revives the men’s and women’s designs first released in 2022 and introduces the first boys’ and girls’ swimwear, enabling families to match for the season.
The collection is made in Australia from UPF 50+ chlorine-resistant fabrics and includes men’s swim shorts, a women’s one-piece, swim separates, and children’s pieces.
According to the brands, sustainability is highlighted in the production process, with laser cutting to reduce fabric waste, environmentally friendly inks, and hand-sewn detailing for durability.
The collection will be sold via Budgy Smuggler’s online store and retail outlets in New South Wales, with prices ranging from $55 to $110.
“We don’t often bring back designs from the archives, but Bubble O’Bill has such a cult following, and there’s a real nostalgia factor that made this one a no-brainer,” said Budgy Smuggler GM Brenden Hartmann.
“The demand from our community to see it return was huge – it’s a collection people genuinely connect with and have asked us for again and again, so we’re stoked to bring it back with the addition of the kids range this time around”.
The collaboration taps into a growing trend of FMCG brands extending into lifestyle and apparel, leveraging beloved food IP to connect with consumers beyond the freezer aisle.
