Bulla Dairy Foods has named Peter Hall as its new CEO, following Allan Hood’s departure from the role in February.
Hall joins Bulla after more than 25 years leading global food and beverage businesses across North America, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. Most recently, he served as CEO of Carib Brewery and president of beverage at the ANSA McAL Group of Companies, following senior leadership roles with Heineken Americas, Dean & DeLuca, Treasury Wine Estates and Diageo.
The company says his appointment draws on significant international background, along with a strong track record of driving growth, building brands and developing high-performing teams.
“The board undertook an extensive global search to find Bulla’s next CEO, and that search identified Peter Hall as an outstanding and experienced leader, ideally suited to lead Bulla into its next chapter,” said Bulla chairman Ian Sloan.
“He brings deep experience across fast-moving consumer goods and manufacturing, and an unparalleled understanding of how these industries are evolving.”
Peter Hall said he was honoured to return home to Australia to lead Bulla, especially attracted to its family ownership and more than a century of achievements.
“Like so many Australians, Bulla was a much-loved part of my childhood, so returning home to lead the business is a unique career opportunity.
“Building brands has been my life’s work, and I’m excited to build on Bulla’s strong foundations and the family values that have made the business and brand so respected for generations.”
Sloan also thanked acting CEO James Downey for his leadership over the past six months. Downey will continue working closely with Hall to support his transition into the role when he joins the company in September.
