Mavella Superfoods beat off the competition to take our first place in the Health Food category at the recent Food and Beverage Industry Awards held in Sydney.

Mavella Superfoods Boost Range is a powder added to water, juice, milk or meals that is designed to boost the immune system of children. It contains Australian superfood fruits and vegetable powders, which are processed on low temperatures to retain 100 per cent nutrients and flavour.

Founders Cheryl Stewart and Jaime Turner were ecstatic and extremely surprised by the win.

“We feel so honoured to be recognised by the industry for our product range,” said Turner. “We started working on these products, because we are mums and we wanted to provide some extra nutrition to our children’s diets and we could [not] really find anything that was [not] for adults, that tasted great and was easy to use.”

“We live in a world saturated with highly processed foods which are often stripped of good nutrition. [Food these days] are high in sugars and with more kids becoming fussier eaters, it is hard for parents to ensure that their children are getting everything that they need to function at the best of their abilities,” Turner explained further.

Turner said the brand name was inspired by their children (Maverick and Ella), hence the creation of Mavella.

It was the 12th year of the Food and Beverage Industry Awards, which was hosted by Channel Seven’s Larry Emdur.
