Coopers supports pub recovery with donation of 15,000 beers

Australian brewery Coopers is donating 15,000 beers to help local pubs recover from the Covid-19 lockdown.

Coopers said that its national sales teams will send Pale Ale to 335 metropolitan and country venues in the next few weeks.

Coopers managing director Dr Tim Cooper said they want to encourage communities to get out and support their local pub.

“Pubs have been doing it extremely tough over these past months. These are often family-run small businesses employing dedicated and hardworking local people. As a family business ourselves, we understand the enormous pressure this places on everyone involved in a pub, from the owners to the staff and suppliers,” he said.

He said it is Coopers’ chance to play a part in the recovery to help get the businesses on their feet and recover from the losses during the shutdown.

Billboard and Facebook campaigns have also rolled out with the celebratory message, “Roll On In, Pub’s Open”.
