Australian meat-pie manufacturer Mrs Mac’s has rolled out a campaign inviting fans to submit their pie recipes.
Mrs Mac’s will put consumers’ submitted recipes to a public vote on Facebook after the in-house team has shortlisted finalists The winner will not only have their name on the new flavour, but will also receive a year’s supply of their pie and other Mrs Mac’s products.
Communications and partnership manager of Mrs Mac’s, Nikki Bower, said the campaign’s purpose is to learn customer’s demand as the brand is expanding its product range.
“This year has definitely been eventful thus far, and when it comes to consumers and their love of a great-tasting pie we have seen some interesting at-home creations,” said Bower. “Consumers have replaced the classic beef pie with new flavour combinations which we are keen to see come to life through this campaign.”
Participants can submit their recipes on the brand’s website until September 11. Mrs Mac’s will organise a team on Yagan Square’s ground floor on September 4 to receive submissions.
“Whether it be a family favourite combination of roast lamb & rosemary or something a little more interesting like a Mexican-style black bean & chipotle, no idea is too crazy to be created as a pie,” she said.
The winning pie will be named on September 23.
