A2 Milk names new executives

New Zealand-based dairy company A2 Milk has appointed new members to its executive team.

Yohan Senaratne will join the company in the role of executive GM in the international unit, reporting to David Bortolussi, MD and CEO of A2 Milk. In his new role, Seneratne will oversee A2 Milk’s cross-border export business, primarily focused on English label IMF products manufactured in New Zealand and sold into China.

Before A2 Milk, Senaratne held multiple roles at Mondelez International, including head of e-commerce for Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. 

Meanwhile, Kevin Bush has been named as executive GM in the ANZ unit. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s business in ANZ with a focus on continuing to grow the liquid milk business in the near term as well as evolving its strategy to realise the full potential of the A2 Milk brand. 

Prior to the promotion, Bush held the role of sales director at the company’s ANZ unit for the past five years. He also held senior positions with leading consumer goods companies including Mars, Nestle, and McCain Foods.

“Together these appointments and organisational changes will provide more dedicated leadership and focus on key components of our business and improve execution going forward,” said Bortolussi. 

Meanwhile, chief executive in Greater China  Xiao Li will become a direct report to Bortolussi and provide strategic oversight and organisational support to Yohan and the International team. 

The appointment follows the recent resignation of Peter Nathan, the company’s CEO of in Asia Pacific.
