Arnott’s unveils new flavours in gluten-free biscuit range

Following the successful launch last year of Arnott’s first gluten-free line, the company has introduced three additional biscuit flavours.

The new products are made from a gluten-free flour blend made of maize, tapioca, rice, sorghum, and soy. There are three products: Mint Slice, Shortbread Cream and TeeVee Snacks Original.

Arnott’s group nutritionist, Alison Baldwin, said the new additions will offer more variety for customers seeking gluten-free snacks.

“Nearly 25 per cent of Australians restrict gluten or wheat, and many of those people have traditionally felt disappointed by the available offering, with as many as two-thirds believing that the existing gluten-free snacks don’t taste nearly as good as regular snacks, according to a study undertaken in-house.”

The new products retail for $5.30 each and are available initially at independent stores and Woolworths, with Coles stocking them in its health food aisle from June 13.
