Mars Wrigley has launched a limited edition flavour for M&M’s this summer that pays homage to the coconut-filled Bounty chocolate bar.

M&M’s Coconut is a bite-sized snack that offers a “creamy topical pairing” of the sweet nuttiness of coconut and creamy textures of milk chocolate encased in the brand’s signature crispy shell.

“This is the first new product launch for M&M’S this year, and I have a feeling it is going to be a popular one,” said Ben Hill, marketing director at Mars Wrigley. 

The company said that removing Bounty from its Celebration boxes caused a stir in the UK, but in Australia, the company claims Bounty has been the top-selling coconut confectionery bar during the last three years. 

“Australians have spoken, and we’ve listened,“ added Hill.

“Coconut has been a popular choice with consumers for many years now, and we’re incredibly proud to have been able to create and manufacture this product right here in Australia, out of our Ballarat innovation hub.”

M&M’s Coconut is available in supermarkets and independent retailers nationwide for an RRP of $5.
