Care A2 Plus has penned a partnership with American Pharmaceutical Company, Gensco Pharma, to take the Australian Infant formula to the US.

The American Food and Drug Administration has certified Car A2+ Infant Formula meets its standards. In early January, it extended its approval for the infant milk brand to be sold in the country until October 2025.

Walter Bugno, chairman of Care A2 Plus, said the company was proud to help address the infant formula crisis in America.

“Having received approval from the FDA to help address the current infant formula shortage, it was very important for Care to identify a partner to bring our product to the US market,” said Bugno.

“Gensco Pharma’s reputation and values give us the confidence to get our product into as many channels as possible for American parents and caregivers.”

Paul Zimmerman, MD, chairman and CEO of Gensco Pharma, said the company as impressed by the quality and benefits of Care’s formula milk.

Care A2 Plus Infant Formula is described as scientifically formulated to match the profile of human milk. It has 40 essential nutrients and is enriched with lactalbumin, which represents 25 per cent of the protein found in breast milk. In addition, it has no corn syrup, growth hormones, and GMOs (genetically modified organisms).

“We are thrilled to bring this world-advanced premium formula to the US and, as a physician, I am impressed with the premium ingredients which make this a superior product not just in the country but globally,” Zimmerman concluded.
