Australian brewery James Squire has entered the low-carb beer space with the launch of Stride, a new pale ale with only 3.6 grams of carbs per bottle.
The brand said it aims to disrupt the low-carb beer market with flavour and quality “missing” from low-carb beers.
Made from 100 per cent grain, Stride is described as “clean and refreshing”, using Australian Pale and Munich Malts with a dash of wheat, tangerine, tropical stone fruit notes from the aroma and top notes, while Mosaic and Galaxy hops provide hints of passionfruit and citrus.
Albertus Lombard, brand director for Premium at Lion Australia, maker of James Squire, said the new beer allows drinkers to drink low-carb without compromising quality and taste.
“We know that there are limited low-carb beer options in Australia, and it was a no-brainer for us to launch into this space,” remarked Lombard.
“James Squire Beers aren’t your run-of-the-mill beers; they’re flavourful and balanced, a step above others, and perfect for any occasion.”
The James Squire Stride beer joins the James Squire portfolio, including 150 Lashes, Broken Shackles, Ginger Beer and Zero.
James Squire Stride is available in 330ml bottles with an ABV of 4.2 per cent in leading liquor stores nationwide at an RRP of $54.99 per case and $20.99 for a six-pack.
