Kiwifruit marketer Zespri has appointed Jason Te Brake as CEO, replacing CEO Daniel Mathieson, who is joining Driscoll’s effective July 1.
Zespri chairman Nathan Flowerday praised Te Brake as an outstanding executive, having led the brand’s global supply chain and New Zealand supply business as its COO.
“He has a clear strategic vision to help Zespri and the industry achieve its immense potential and the operational expertise to ensure we do so,” said Flowerday.
“He has also delivered exceptional results based on detailed planning and execution as the industry responded to the recent quality challenges and then reset to deliver a record crop this year.”
In his new role as CEO, Te Brake expressed his focus on capturing demand opportunities, strengthening the supply chain and operations, and ensuring the brand returns as much of that value as possible to growers.
“I am hugely passionate and energised about the opportunities for the industry, and it’s a real honour and privilege to be able to lead Zespri,” he concluded.
