Liquor distributor Brown-Forman made several leadership changes for its newly created Apac region, effective this month.
Eveline Albarracin has been appointed MD and senior VP, overseeing Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, and India; and will relocate to Singapore in the coming months.
Albarracin joined Brown-Forman as MD for Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands (ANZPI), in 2020.
She then expanded her responsibilities to include India, the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey in 2022, consolidating and driving Brown-Forman’s international presence.
Michael Masick, executive VP and president for emerging international, Brown-Forman, highlighted Albarracin’s extensive business acumen that is “invaluable” to the new role.
“In addition to ANZPI, one of Brown-Forman’s largest and most developed regions, Asia represents a key growth opportunity for Brown-Forman and we are confident in the broader region’s continued success and expansion under Eveline’s outstanding leadership,” he said.
At the same time, Ricardo Cupido, who has led Asia for the past five years, including launching distribution organisations in Taiwan and Japan, has been named VP for commercial strategy and director for international. The headquarters for this group is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
In this new role, Cupido will focus on embedding commercial best practices, fostering synergies, and providing commercial tools, systems, and processes necessary to support the brand’s international growth ambitions.
“Ricardo will spearhead our commercial strategy and drive further growth in our international markets,” Masick added.
“His deep industry knowledge and broad international experience – in both developed and emerging markets – uniquely qualify him for this crucial responsibility. Coupled with Eveline’s leadership in Apac, we are poised for sustained success.”
Brown-Forman is known to distribute several liquor labels including Jack Daniel’s, Tequila Heradura, and Woodford Reserve.
