Heinz launches its “criminally tasty” mayo flavours after public vote

Heinz has introduced two new mayo flavours – Cheesy Garlic Bread Aioli and Margherita Pizza Mayonnaise – which it describes as “criminally tasty”.

In July, Heinz held a “deliberation” in which Australians voted for their preferred tastes of flavoured mayonnaise, determining which of the lineups are food crimes deserving of condiment confinement and which are criminally delicious.

In addition to the two flavours mentioned above, there are Sweet Chocolate Mayonnaise, Tangy Coriander Mayonnaise, and Smokey Bacon Mayonnaise.

According to the brand, the Sweet Chocolate Mayonnaise sparked some heated debate online and nearly made the top two.

“People had some really strong opinions about mayonnaise. We received more than 21,000 votes from across Australia and New Zealand,” said head of taste elevation at Kraft Heinz, Andrea Payne.

“Now that they’ve been set free, we can’t wait to see how people will choose to enjoy our Cheesy Garlic Bread Aioli and Margherita Pizza Mayonnaise.”

Good Cheesy Garlic Bread Aioli & Margherita Pizza Mayonnaise is priced at $5.50 and available at IGA and independent stores. The products will be available at Woolworths in September and Coles in October.
