Molson Coors Beverage Company has agreed to acquire 8.5 per cent stake in carbonated drinks and mixers supplier Fever-Tree.
The transaction will result in Molson Coors becoming Fever-Tree’s second largest shareholder.
Molson Coors will also co-manufacture Fever-Tree’s products and will secure exclusive commercialisation rights to its product range including tonics, ginger beers, and cocktail mixers in the US.
“We’ve made progress here, and today we are building on that progress in a significant way with Fever-Tree as the latest and largest non-alc brand to join our portfolio,” said Gavin Hattersley, Molson Coors CEO.
“The US is our biggest global market by revenue, and the same is true for Fever-Tree, so we believe this partnership provides ample opportunity for our teams to build on the strong success Fever-Tree has achieved to date.”
Moving forward, Molson Coors is also preparing to bring Australian non-alcoholic cocktail Naked Life to the US in spring.
Last November, Molson Coors acquired a significant stake in Zoa Energy.
