Neutrogena-owner Kenvue has appointed Kirk Perry as interim CEO, effective immediately.

Perry, a current member of Kenvue’s board, assumes the role following the departure of former CEO Thibaut Mongon.

With more than 30 years of experience in the consumer goods and technology industries, Perry most recently served as president and CEO of Circana, a global provider of technology, data, and predictive analytics for the consumer, retail, and media sectors.

Prior to that, he spent more than two decades at Procter & Gamble, where he held key leadership roles, including president of global family care and VP overseeing US operations and North America marketing.

“His deep knowledge of the intersection of technology, data and global consumers has already been an asset during his time on the board, and we look forward to Kenvue continuing to benefit from his expertise and leadership in this additional role,” said Larry Merlo, Kenvue’s chairman.

The leadership transition coincides with the board of directors’ ongoing comprehensive review of strategic alternatives aimed at streamlining operations, optimising the brand portfolio, and strengthening long-term financial performance.

Earlier this month, Kenvue also tapped Anindya (Andy) Dasgupta as its new group president for Asia-Pacific.
