Dove has upgraded its Advanced Care Deodorant range in Australia, introducing active skincare ingredients into the underarm lineup.
With pro-ceramide serum and hyaluronic acid as the added ingredients, the launch has expanded Dove Deodorant’s scent portfolio to six scents.
The line features six scents: Original, Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena, Acai Berry & Waterlily, Coconut & Jasmine Flower, Passionfruit & Lemongrass, and Apple & White Tea (exclusive to IGA).
The company says the reformulated line is designed to repair the skin barrier and soothe post-shave irritation while delivering 72-hour sweat and odour protection.
The launch follows Unilever consumer research showing that underarm sensitivity has risen 12 per cent over the past five years to become the third greatest concern among deodorant users, with 28 per cent of consumers seeking products that address both heavy perspiration and sensitive skin.
“For too long, underarms have been left out of the skincare conversation,” said Mone Go, Dove brand manager ANZ at Unilever Australia.
“By boosting the skin’s natural ceramides to leave underarms visibly smoother and softer, we’re giving Australian women a reason to treat their underarms with the same love and care as the rest of their skin.” said Go.
The lineup includes two formats: Aerosol 250ml at an RRP of $12 and 150ml at an RRP of $6, and roll-on 50ml at an RRP of $6.
The range is available nationwide across Coles, Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse, and independent retailers.
Earlier, Dove partnerned with Matildas star Ellie Carpenter in Coles range, supporting an initiative aimed at helping young people stay involved in sports.
