Yoplait has launched a new natural Greek yoghurt and real fruit snack, Bon Appetit, in response to the growing trend of Australians seeking more tasty and nutritious snacks.
New research has found almost 90 per cent of Australians would like to snack healthier, but prefer the taste of unhealthy snacks.
Greek yoghurt is one food that has long been considered a nutritious snack, but consumers are turned off by its unappealing taste profile, particularly those who prefer sweet, fruity yoghurt and as a result, flavoured Greek yoghurt hasn’t been widely adopted.
Bon Appetit is naturally no-fat Greek yoghurt with a layer of fruit, without the tang and artificial sweeteners.
“Australians are increasingly mindful of what they’re eating, but they’re also not willing to give up on taste. We found that almost 80 per cent of Australians feel guilty after eating an unhealthy afternoon snack and we don’t want it to be this way,” said Yoplait marketing manager, Emily Spicer-Stuart.
“We’ve helped out with the tasty versus healthy battle so Australians can enjoy a delicious snack that’s only 110 calories, without the guilt.”
Author and journalist, Zoë Foster Blake, is working with Yoplait as an ambassador to launch the product.
Bon Appetit is available in 140g single serve tubs in a range of flavours, carries 5-stars according to the government Health Star Rating, and is stocked in supermarkets nationally.
