Iconic brand Byron Bay Cookie Company is set to launch its salted caramel popcorn cookie, in collaboration with celebrated chef Christine Manfield.
The second cookie in Manfield’s range mixes salted caramel coated popcorn with crunchy butter croquant pieces.
‘The salted caramel popcorn cookie is a fun and delicious new flavour to celebrate Byron Bay Cookie Company’s 25th anniversary. The cookie combines a rich base with real salted caramel popcorn, butter croquant and pieces of decadent milk chocolate. It’s most definitely the cookie that everyone will want to try,” said Manfield.
Fondly known as Australia’s “Dessert Diva”, Manfield was involved in the development process, visiting the factory in Byron Bay to create the recipe and trial various flavour combinations. “I am very particular about the type of ingredients used, all carefully selected to ensure the best quality and flavour possible”.
Manfield’s first cookie flavour, passionfruit and dark chocolate, which was released in December 2015, used her signature ingredient of passionfruit and has proven to be a customer favourite across Australia.
The new cookie will launch in David Jones in June with plans for a third flavour by Christine Manfield to be released later in 2016. It will be available as a 200g tin in David Jones stores nationally and online via cookie.com.au.
