KitKat’s limited edition chocolate

Reynold Poernomo Kit KatKitKat and former MasterChef contestant and dessert expert, Reynold Poernomo, has collaborated to create a limited edition chocolate, KitKat Secret Garden.

Poernomo’s latest masterpiece celebrates three luxurious flavour combinations from the new ‘Inspired By KitKat Chocolatory’ range.

Aussies can try the new Mint Cream & Cookie Smash, Caramel Burst & Sea Salt and Espresso Biscuit & Ganache – which have been influenced by popular bespoke creations made in the KitKat Chocolatory in Melbourne, Australia’s first customisable KitKat boutique.

“Australians are increasingly looking for ways to make the everyday extra special and the success of the KitKat Chocolatory in Melbourne is a testament to this. Similarly, [Poernomo] has a talent for adding a moment of decadence into everyday with his extraordinary desserts and we’re excited to have partnered with him to showcase our new range inspired by the indulgent combinations found in our KitKat Chocolatory,” said Anna Stewart, Nestle head of Marketing – Confectionary.

“After spending the day at the KitKat Chocolatory, letting my imagination run wild with the flavour blends and trying the new [chocolate] range, I was instantly inspired to take on the challenge of using all three flavours to create KitKat Secret Garden. After experimenting with the flavour combinations, I’m proud to have crafted an intricate and delicate dessert that fuses all three flavours together – a creation that makes any chocolate break out of the ordinary,” said Poernomo.

KitKat Secret Garden features a large gold-dusted chocolate sphere, which can be literally smashed open, to reveal the decadent layers within. A subtle fresh mint gel lies at the centre, surrounded by a mousse made with the new KitKat Mint Cream & Cookie Smash, seated on a chocolate ganache nest. Cracking open the chocolate outer shell reveals pieces of the new KitKat Caramel Burst and Sea Salt. The dessert is served with KitKat Espresso Biscuit & Ganache gelato and a nitrogen mousse, topped with micro mint and chocolate crumble.

The new Inspired By KitKat Chocolatory range is available now in 140g block format – Mint Cream & Cookie Smash, Caramel Burst & Sea Salt and Espresso Biscuit & Ganache at Coles and independent retailers including IGA.

KitKat Secret Garden limited edition share dessert are available at KOI Dessert Bar in Chippendale from 18 May until 15 June, 2017 for $15.
