Pepsi Max goes head-to-head with Coca-Cola in taste challenge

Pepsi Max Australia is putting its taste to the test in a new campaign urging consumers to blind taste test the product against rival soft drink, Coca-Cola.

The Pepsi Taste Challenge, which originally launched in the 1970s, invites consumers to see of they can tell the difference between Pepsi Max and the biggest full-sugar cola in the market.

The challenge was relaunched in Europe in 2018 and it is now being launched in Australia for the first time on November 4.

The brand is confident that consumers will prefer the great taste of Pepsi Max.

“The Taste Challenge has been a huge success with consumers in other countries around the world and now Australian consumers have the opportunity to take part,” Carolyn Baveystock, marketing manager Pepsi Max Australia said.

“We look forward to seeing if we can convert even more people with our great taste!”

The challenge will run through to the end of January supported by a national campaign including television, out of home and digital and social media.
