Australian brewery Coopers has added Coopers Botanic Ale to its craft beer range, a brew that features floral notes inspired by its classic Sparkling Ale.
The ale has a rich golden colour and a cloudy appearance, with fruity and floral hop aromas and pine and peppery notes from juniper infusion. Dry hopping provides orange peel notes balanced by what Coopers describes as a crisp bitterness.
In addition, it contains no additives or preservatives and has an ABV of 5.8 per cent.
The naturally conditioned Botanic Ale has a retro design inspired by the juniper tree, which uses purple and green in the artwork.
Coopers GM Michael Shearer said the new ale draws on the brewery’s 19th-century sparkling ale recipe, combining novel elements such as juniper from the UK and Nectaron hops from New Zealand.
“Our brewers went for something different with this limited release,” he continued.
“The result is a tasty and unique addition to Australia’s craft beer category that we know will appeal to existing and new Coopers drinkers.”
Coopers Botanic Ale is available in RRP is $20 per 4 pack and $80 for a case of 24 in leading liquor stores nationwide.
