US hydration brand Liquid IV expands into Australia

US hydration brand Liquid IV expands into Australia

US hydration brand Liquid IV is expanding into Australia with the launch of its electrolyte drink mix, Hydration Multiplier.

The electrolyte drink mix has three flavours: Lemon Lime, Passionfruit, and Strawberry. It is designed to hydrate and replenish electrolytes and is infused with essential vitamins such as B3, B5, B6, B12, and Vitamin C. Additionally, it contains no artificial colours or sweeteners.

“Australia is one of the world’s top sports drink markets, and prioritising wellness is deeply embedded in the Australian lifestyle, so this market was a natural fit for a brand and product like Liquid IV,” said Anusha Babbar, global VP of Health & Wellbeing for Unilever, the parent company of Liquid IV.

To support the launch, Unilever also established a local manufacturing facility, making Australia the first market to produce liquid IV outside North America.

“By harnessing Australia’s manufacturing excellence, combined with Unilever’s global R&D expertise, we’re proud to be bringing this product to market in partnership with Chemist Warehouse, the leaders in Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements,” added Clare Standing, Health & Wellbeing lead at Unilever Australia & New Zealand.

Liquid IV Hydration Multiplier is available at Chemist Warehouse for an RRP of $19.99 for a 10-pack and $39.99 for a 24-pack.
