New Zealand food tech company introduces new brain drink range

Kiwi company Arepa has launched Uplift, its first new Brain Drink formulation since its 2017 public introduction.

Uplift, created by neuroscientists to counteract the ‘3pm slump’, is a caffeine-free, lightly sparkling beverage with B vitamins, ginseng, and L-theanine, coming in a peach and ginger flavour.

“Informed by extensive scientific research, Uplift is a delicious and healthy option for those seeking a natural, caffeine-free boost in the afternoon or whenever they need an extra lift,” said Arepa co-founder Angus Brown.

Arepa, dubbed “the world’s smartest drink,” was created in Aotearoa by Angus Brown and Zachary Robinson in response to the deaths of a friend and grandparents from mental diseases.

The science-backed health drink brand debuted in Australia in 2022 and is stocked in 247 stores nationwide.
