Australian aperitif brand Tanica has signed a national distribution agreement with Iconic Beverages Australia to expand its presence nationwide.

The partnership will see Iconic Beverages manage the distribution of Tanica across both retail and hospitality channels, after a period the brand handled its own sales operations.

The move follows more than two years of market testing and brand development, including participation in Distill Ventures’ accelerator program, extensive consumer sampling and partnerships with hospitality operators nationwide.

Tanica’s founder and CEO, Adriane McDermott, said the company viewed the agreement as the next stage of the brand’s growth.

“Partnering with Iconic Beverages feels like the right next chapter for Tanica. I’ve spent the past two years building this brand from the ground up, walking into bars, getting Tanica on menus one by one,” she said.

Inspired by Australia’s coastal lifestyle and native flavours, McDermott launched the brand to create a distinctly Australian aperitif and spritz culture. Since launch, Tanica has grown into a gold medal-winning brand stocked in more than 150 bars, restaurants and bottle shops, including Dan Murphy’s.
