CJ Foods Oceania has expanded its flagship brand Bibigo into IGA Supermarkets, offering shoppers six Korean cuisine products.
With Bibigo already available at Woolworths and Coles, the addition of IGA means CJ Foods’ products will now be available in more than 72 per cent of grocery stores nationwide, representing over 3000 stores.
“Our partnership with IGA is an exciting opportunity to bring authentic Korean flavours to even more Australians,” said Eugene Cha, MD of CJ Foods Oceania.
“The continued rise of K-culture in Australia has created a wonderful platform for us to introduce our products to mainstream markets,” he added.
The six Bibigo products available at IGAs starting this month include Homestyle Mandu Dumplings Pork 250g, Homestyle Mandu Dumplings Pork and Kimchi Flavoured 250g, Homestyle Mandu Dumplings Vegetable 250g, Steamed Mandu Pork Dumplings 280g, Steamed Pork and Kimchi Flavoured Mandu Dumplings 280g, and Crispy Cheese Corn dog 400g.
The company plans to enter more major distribution channels to make the brand more accessible in the country.
Last May, the company launched a range of Australian-sourced kimchi in Asian stores nationwide, with plans to roll out the product in mainstream grocery stores.
