Dine cat food has partnered with Coles Group to launch Restoring Our Reefs, an initiative supporting coral restoration across the Great Barrier Reef.
The campaign forms part of the brand’s broader Hope Grows program, which backs large-scale restoration projects in partnership with marine scientists and non-government organisations.
With every purchase of Dine cat food, customers can visit dinehopegrows.com where they can receive a digital certificate recognising their contribution, along with progress updates from their allocated reef site, including reef star installation, coral planting, and related restoration activity.
Customers can also access field stories and program updates via local partner Citizens of the Reef.
Since its launch, the program has installed 2149 reef stars and 32,235 coral fragments across 52 coral species.
Melodie Nye, MD and GM of Mars Petcare AuNZ, said the activation aims to make support for environmental programs more accessible for consumers.
“The Great Barrier Reef is part of Australia’s DNA and seeing it under pressure resonates with many Australians,” Nye said.
“This initiative gives cat owners a way to support restoration efforts Dine is proud to champion, while feeling connected to the work taking place beneath the surface.”
