Olive oil brand Moro has launched a bottle made entirely from recycled material in support of a more circular economy and reducing plastic waste sent to landfills.
The Moro Eco Bottle is used in two variants: Primero Extra Virgin and Tradicional.
Primero boasts a medium-intensity extra virgin oil with a fruity flavour and a peppery finish, suitable for hot and cold applications, while Tradicional offers a classic taste and aroma, recommended for everyday cooking.
The new bottles are made from 100 per cent recycled PET and are fully recyclable – including the cap and label.
“Moro Eco Bottle will help to reduce unwanted plastic in the environment, requires less energy to produce than other packaging materials, and creates fewer greenhouse gas emissions,” said Kristen Moxey, marketing manager at Conga Foods, the maker of Moro olive oil.
“The lightweight material and convenient grip design make it easy to use or decant into your favourite cruet.”
The Moro 2.2L Eco Bottle is available for an RRP of $33 at Woolworths, leading independent supermarkets and continental delis nationwide.
