Sydney-based natural food provider Honest to Goodness has acquired Komarov Food’s Pimp My Salad and Pimp My Snack brands, enhancing its position in the health-food category.
Honest to Goodness said the acquisition marks the company’s long-term expansion strategy, after the acquisitions of 2die4 Live Foods in 2021 and the Absolute Organic and Eco Organic brands in 2023.
“These brands have carved out a unique niche and are popular among health-conscious consumers looking for simple ways to enhance their snacking and meals with vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nutrient-rich ingredients like sprouted seeds, superfoods, and plant-based proteins,” said Matt Ward, company founder and MD at Honest to Goodness.
“By bringing these brands into our portfolio, we’re reinforcing our mission to make healthy living not just possible, but straightforward and enjoyable for everyone.”
He said the company intends to expand its local and offshore reach while maintaining its dedication to making healthy living simple, sustainable, and accessible.
“Healthy eating should not be a luxury, but a fundamental right for all consumers and the Pimp My Salad and Pimp My Snack ranges deliver on all levels,” Ward added.
Pimp My Salad collaborated with crowdfunding platform Equitise in 2023 to raise to $500,000, to accelerate expansion and establish itself as a pantry staple.
