Woolworths has recognised standout supplier partners across its network, presenting 11 awards at its annual Supplier of the Year event in Sydney.

Annette Karantoni, MD of Woolworths Retail, said the program celebrates trade partners that consistently demonstrate strong collaboration, product innovation and value delivery.

“Woolworths works with thousands of trade partners each day to provide close to 30,000 products for customers,” said  Karantoni.

“Many of them go above and beyond when it comes to showing us the best way to partner. Choosing winners from dozens of nominees is never easy.”

Fresh fruit and vegetable supplier Premier Fresh was named Overall Trade Partner of the Year, which Karantoni said business plays a central role in the supermarket’s’ fresh offer.

“The first thing customers see when they enter our stores is our fresh produce display,” she continued.  

“Premier Fresh consistently delivers exceptional fruit and vegetables while setting the benchmark for leading farming practices and a sustainable future in fresh produce.”

Other award recipients are:

  • Chilled, Bakery and Deli Trade Partner of the Year: Sunny Queen Farms.
  • Fruit & Veg Trade Partner of the Year: Premier Fresh.
  • New Product Launch of the Year: Solo Energy; Gelato Messina.
  • Own Brand Trade Partner of the Year: Simplot.
  • Protein Trade Partner of the Year: Ingham’s.
  • Large Grocery Trade Partner of the Year: Unilever.
  • Small Grocery Trade Partner of the Year: Funday.
  • Merchandising Team of the Year: Lindt & Sprüngli.
  • Account Manager of the Year: Ross Bryant, Delroy Orchards.
  • Woolworths Category Manager of the Year: Nic Hines (Fruit – mango, avocado, bananas).
