Golden Gaytime, Streets Ice Cream’s brand, and bakery chain Cinnabon have introduced a co-branded frozen treat to the Australian market.
Dubbed Junior, the treat combines Cinnabon’s cinnamon and cream cheese flavours with Golden Gaytime’s chocolate dip and biscuit crumb coating.
Brokered by brand management agency Asembl, the launch targets growing consumer demand for nostalgic food mash-ups and indulgent products, with a promotional campaign framed around a fictional romance between the brands.
The single-serve option is available through Australian petrol and convenience retailers, while four-pack variants are scheduled to roll out on August 24 across Australian supermarkets.
“We wanted to create something that fans wouldn’t just see, but talk about, hunt down and share with their mates,” said Kalli Swaik, MD for Streets Ice Cream ANZ.
“Golden Gaytime has always had a knack for not taking itself too seriously, so bringing this love story to life felt like the perfect way to introduce a collaboration.”
For Cinnabon, which operates more than 2400 bakeries internationally across 65 countries, the project represents a continuation of its multi-channel licensing strategy. The brand focuses on driving growth outside its physical storefronts by entering commercial grocery channels.
Earlier, home fragrance brand Dusk also partnered with Streets Ice Cream to introduce a product range spanning home fragrance, bath, and personal care categories.
