Snickers has unveiled a Butterscotch flavour with roasted peanuts, chewy caramel, and a “slab” of butterscotch-flavoured nougat.
Formulated and manufactured in Australia at the company’s Ballarat-based innovation hub, the Butterscotch flavour marks the second locally developed Snickers variant since the company returned the production of Snickers to Australia last year.
Richard Weisinger, portfolio director for Snickers, said the new variant creates a “flavour powerhouse combo” of chocolate, caramel, and butterscotch.
“Butterscotch is proving incredibly popular with consumers, particularly when paired with chocolate and caramel,” said Weisinger.
“This makes it a decadently sweet and irresistible flavour variant for Snickers and the perfect little indulgence.”
The new Snickers flavour is available for RRP $2 in supermarkets, independent retailers, and convenience stores.
