British tea brand Twinings has expanded its tea portfolio with the launch of two new products, Cold Infusions and Sparkling Tea.

The expansion into cold products aligns with the growing consumer demand for lighter caffeinated beverages.

“These two launches mark an exciting new chapter for Twinings in Australia – harnessing more than 300 years of expertise and quality our consumers love into the cold beverages space, and opening the door to a whole new generation of tea drinkers,” said Natalie Creffield, MD of Twinings ANZ.

Crafted by Twinings’ blenders and herbalists, the Twinings Cold Infusions range combines fruit and herbal teas without refined sugar or artificial flavours, and is designed to be brewed in cold water.

The cold brew tea range consists of three flavours: Mango & Passionfruit, Lemon & Ginger, Raspberry & Lime, with a 14-pack at an RRP of $8.50 and a trial four-pack at an RRP of $3.

For the RTD sparkling line, the Twinings’ Sparkling Tea offers a lightly carbonated drink infused with tea and botanicals made from fruit juice and sparkling water.

According to the company, the drink also contains fewer than 50 calories while supplying vitamins and minerals, and is available in four flavours: Raspberry Lemonade & White Tea, Orange, Passionfruit & Green Tea, and Peach, Apple & Green Tea.

Twinings’ Sparkling Tea is sold individually in 250ml cans with an RRP of $4 or as a pack of four at $13.50.

Both ranges are available at Coles, Woolworths and select independent retailers.
