Queensland-based beer maker XXXX has reintroduced its ‘XXXX Gold Pride In Your Origin’ cans for the second year.
The limited-edition cans, which will be available at all major liquor stores in Queensland, have a number from 0 to 9 that can be used to create one of the state’s 447 postcodes.
Chris Allan, Lion’s Head of Marketing – Core Beer, said the return of the cans is an example of XXXX’s longstanding partnership with the Queensland Maroons and devotion to the Queensland community during the annual State of Origin rugby league series clash.
“Last year, the postcode cans were immensely popular and we saw thousands of Queenslanders proudly lining up their postcode to represent their hometown pride,” said Allan.
“That’s why we decided to bring the cans back, to allow fans to feel connected to players and every other Queenslander who shares the same pride in their origin – whether they are tuning in from a local pub or their living room, everyone shares the same space when it comes to community pride.”
Customers can also win prizes, including Maroons memberships and jerseys, $25,000 cash or a vacation for four to Hamilton Island, by joining the brand’s competition.
The 375ml cans are currently available for a limited time in specially marked XXXX Gold 30-cases at major liquor retailers throughout Queensland, while supplies last.
